“Koffylaagte” , literally translates as “Coffee Hollow” and owes its name to its colorful history as the resting place of the early settler traders.  The original 1870 farm house embraces the Karoo farm style, making Koffylaagte a unique venue for a true South African experience. This pristine reserve with historic value, located 130 km from Port Elizabeth, is dedicated to wildlife management and breeding programs. Koffylaagte with its magnificent fauna and flora, again became  a place to rest your mind, body and soul, just as in the days of the early settlers.

A different approach to the most game lodges with their pan African appearance, inspired from the original romantic east African era, Koffylaagte remains true to its South African routs.
