In the unique landscape between the Northern Cape and the Free State on the banks of the Vanderkloof Dam, lies Otterskloof Private Game Reserve - an 18 000 hectares (44000 acres) reserve offering conference facilities ,two accommodation options, up close and personal wildlife encounters, beautiful vistas, and personal service. To make your visit unique – we give you the freedom to roam, the farm becomes yours for your stay, making the experience truly yours. Because we are only 2 hours from Bloemfontein, we make an ideal conference- of corporate break-away venue. Conferences are held in a separate and beautifully furnished room ,with views of the upper Karoo landscape. The facility seats 22 guests with ease and a projector and flip-charts are available.There is even a large fireplace to combat the cold Free State winters!Our in-house chef prepares hearty farm food and a cash bar is situated adjacent to the conference room. We can also arrange catered Game drives , veld-braais and sundowners . We offer high standards in luxury accommodation, close wildlife encounters, beautiful vistas, and personal service. The accommodation is spread over 2 lodges, each with it's own character : Safari Lodge is the main lodge and offers luxurious catered accommodation in a revamped farm homestead - each room with it's own separate entrance, air-conditioners and en-suite bathrooms. Guests can choose from our deluxe family rooms or a standard twin room . Bush Lodge is set in a reclaimed hunting outpost and offers a close-to-nature private self-catering lodge with 3 en-suite bathrooms.Bush Lodge is a 45 minute drive from the main lodge and can only be reached with a high-clearance vehicle. Otterskloof is not only a game reserve but offers numerous activities, including fly and normal fishing, trail running, mountain bike trails, star gazing in our unpolluted skies, boating and 102 km of self drive tracks mapped out for your enjoyment( Some activities are only available during the non-hunting season. The reserve is home to 32 species, including the rare Roan, Sable, Buffalo and Giraffe. Indigenous fauna and flora grow in protected areas across the reserve.
