Perched at the top of Northcliff Hill, Koyama unites the contradictory forces of futuristic aesthetics and ancient traditions, with Japanese themes dominating the architectural and interior design styles. Natural elements were considered in the building's spatial composition and the selection of textured and raw materials such as stone, timber and concrete, are off-set by sheet-glass panes and brushed steel.
