Facilities at CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria East, Pretoria
The Centre is well equipped and can arrange any additional services such as overnight accommodation, bus transfers, travel desks for large international events, etc. Should you require a list of companies providing services such as interpreting, event organising/decor, etc. we will also be happy to provide you with this information from our comprehensive database. Audio-visual equipment An extensive range of audio-visual equipment is available at the Centre. Essential equipment is included in standard packages and venue hire, with additional equipment available for a fee on request. Business services centre A business services centre is available for all business needs, including, faxing, photocopying, stationary, etc. Conference and function venues Both conference and function events from 10 - 500 persons can be accomodated, whilst up to 700 persons can be catered for in parallel sessions. Standard audio-visual equipment (as in conference packages) is included in the hire price for each breakaway venue. See our venues. Exhibition facilities Exhibition facilities and hospitality suites are available. Parking Sufficient secure free parking for up to 500 vehicles is available around the Centre. Recreational facilities Recreational facilities such as beach volleyball, swimming pools, a soccer field, and squash and tennis courts, are available by prior arrangement. Security The Centre has one security officer who is on duty when there are events taking place in the Centre. While the Centre indemnifies itself against any loss or damage to users property, should a client require additional security services this can be arranged at an hourly rate. Video-conferencing Video-conferencing equipment and services are available. The Centre has selected Dimension Data's Multimedia Service division to be the sole provider of video-conferencing technology for the Centre's clients. We will, together with Dimension Data, provide you with a cost effective efficient solution to all of your video-conferencing requirements.
