 KoelenRust Estate offers you a natural hide-away from the nearby cities, a haven personally developed by the owners as a retreat for their guests. Surrounded by a vast garden amongst huge trees, you will experience peace and tranquillity that will create the frame of mind for very productive meetings and relaxation. It is situated in a unique peaceful setting, adjacent to the Cradle of Humankind and in the heart of the Crocodile Ramble, with its arts and crafts, game farms and caves. Muldersdrift International Airport is close-by (10 minutes drive) and Johannesburg or Pretoria is only 30 minutes drive away. Meals and teas are served in the open air Boma or in the Lapa next to the pool. These areas are also ideal for team building or break away group sessions. We can also provide you with a full cash bar should you wish to enjoy drinks late afternoon after a hard day's work. Other activities can include a game drive in one of the nearby game Reserves. We cater for conferences with a country feeling, informal dinner evenings, wedding receptions and small garden functions. Traditional South African meals are served or guests can create their own menu from a basic list of buffet menus with starters, main courses and desserts for their function. Accommodation consists of country style cottages and rustic garden rooms. It comprises of 2 thatch roof cottages and 8 standard garden rooms, all elegantly furnished in a rustic country style to compliment the surrounds. The luxury executive suite (perfect for a bridal couple) is on the upper floor in the Main House, with unforgettable views of the gardens, the pool and the Magaliesberg Mountains.
