Limpopo Province lies at South Africa’s northernmost area and is bisected by the tropic of Capricorn. Visitors to the province can expect dry days and long summer afternoons for most of their stay, with the subtropical conditions of the Lowveld region of the province, providing weather more suited to forests. Polokwane has a pleasant climate for almost all of the year, bit it can become quite hot in the summer averaging 27ºC. The lowveld has very hot summer afternoons, towns such as Ba-Phalaborwa are known to reach 45ºC. Visitors to the Kruger National Park district can expect temperatures around 30ºC in summer.
