The Island Hotel is an historical landmark steeped in the rich, diverse cultural heritage that is unique to Isipingo, Durban. Located amidst the lush mangroves of Isipingo Beach and right next to the warmest ocean in the world, it has been restored to its past elegance and grace - and is designed to satisfy the needs of the discerning business and leisure traveller.

Originally erected in the early twentieth century, it has grown to accommodate a capacity of approximately 156 people sleeping. We pride ourselves on preserving a classic service of a bygone era, all the while maintaining a contemporary feel for our guests whatever your needs may be.

Our hotel is designed to attract travellers who demand character and distinction. We have three conference venues which are ideal for meetings, conferences, exhibitions or teambuilding events. All of the newly refurbished rooms are equipped with the latest data projector, screens and audio equipment.

2. The Villas (which were the original hotel building) consist of 6 newly renovated units in an immaculate condition, and each villa
            offers the following:

•   Own kitchen area equipped with a microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle and a braai stand
•   Patio area to sit and enjoy the vibrant birdlife in our sprawling gardens
