From Durban:
Take the N2 North bypassing Empangeni and Mkuze. Continue approx. 35km on the N2 towards Pongola. Turn right into the reserve at the Pongola Game Reserve South White Elephant / Nkwazi Gate and follow the signs to the lodge.

Alternative route: Continue for 9 km – turn left at the Pongola Game Reserve Leeukop entrance – follow the Mpalane/Nkwazi signs for 11 km – access 24hr / day. Not suitable for vehicles with low ground clearance.

From Johannesburg or Pretoria:
Travel to Ermelo, and follow signs to Piet Retief and Pongola. From Pongola travel south on the N2 for approximately 45 km and turn left into the reserve at the Pongola Game Reserve South White Elephant / Nkwazi Gate and follow the signs to the lodge.

Alternative route: 30 km past Pongola and 1km after crossing the Pongola River – turn right at the Pongola Game Reserve Leeukop entrance – follow the Mpalane/Nkwazi signs for 11 km – access 24hr / day. Not suitable for vehicles with low ground clearance.
