De Oude Welgemoed is situated on one of the original farms in the Tygerberg area, dating back to 1677.  The original homestead steeped in 300 years of history dating back to the 1760's, was restored and converted into a fully licensed fine dining restaurant in 1991.  The big garden with a huge 300-year old oak tree and beautiful views over the Bellville golf course and the Hottentots Holland Mountains create a relaxed and elegant ambience.

De Oude Welgemoed brings home a standard of food, wine and service of which the quality is next to none.  We believe in providing a peronalised service in the unique setting of your choice and needs.
