Directions from Cape Town via N2
- Take the N2 towards Somerset West
- Turn off at exit 43 to Strand/Somerset West
- At the top of the off-ramp turn left onto the R44, the main road between
Strand, Somerset West and Stellenbosch. Don’t turn off anywhere
for the next 12 km.
Checkpoints along the way:
Lord Charles on your left about 500m from the top of the off-ramp.
Mooiberge Strawberry Farm about 5 km on the right.
Blaauwklippen Wine Estate on the right
Stellenbosch Golf Course on the left
- Before the Stellenbosch Golf Course, turn right into the Blaauwklippen
Road at the traffic lights between Engen and the Seven Eleven.
- From Engen to Mont Fleur is 8 km. Do not turn off anywhere along this
road. You will go through a residential area, along a gravel road, then
on a farm road with speed bumps through the vineyards. Don’t despair
you’re on the right track – just keep watching for the sign
boards.
Directions from Cape Town via N1
- Take the N1 towards Paarl.
- Turn off at EXIT 39 to Tygerberg Zoo/Stellenbosch Winelands.
- At the stop street turn right onto the R304. Travel on this road towards
Stellenbosch.
Checkpoints along the way:
- Muldersvlei Market/Dairy on the lefthand side
- Koelenhof Service Station on your righthand side
- Steins Nursery on your righthand side
- As you enter Stellenbosch turn right at the 4 way robot onto the R44,
the main road between Stellenbosch and Strand. (You will see a Seven Eleven,
Stellenbosch Motors & Eikestad Motors at this robot)
- Travel on this road towards Somerset West until you see the Eikestad
and Rhenish Schools on your lefthand side. Cross over the 4 way robot
and you will see the Stellenbosch Golf Course on your right. Turn left
into Blaauwklippen Road at the traffic lights between Engen and the Seven
Eleven.
- From the Engen to Mont Fleur is 8km. Do not turn off anywhere along
this road. You will go through a residential area, along a gravel road,
then on a farm road with speed bumps through the vineyard. Don’t
despair – you’re on the right track – just keep watching
for the sign boards.
