De Oude Welgemoed is situated on one of the original farms in the Tygerberg area, dating back to 1677. The original homestead steeped in 300 years of history dating back to the 1760’s was restored and converted into a fully licensed fine dining restaurant in 1991. The big garden with a huge 300-year old oak tree and stunning views over the Bellville golf course and the Hottentots Holland Mountains create a relaxed and elegant atmosphere.
De Oude Welgemoed brings home a standard of food, wine and service of which the quality is next to none. De Oude Welgemoed recently achieved Gold Award status, and dining here is an experience that surpasses all sensory expectation. The Venue can cater for: functions, conferences, weddings, special occasions, corporate launches and many more. Functions or corporate presentations can be hosted in their fully equipped conference room or boardroom.
The elegant, well equipped and not too large conference room, can be used for seminars, cocktail parties or business meetings. The conference room is located in the renovated stable area of De Oude Welgemoed. The conference room also caters for all dishes served from the venue’s restaurant and bistro.
The boardroom facilities provide the perfect setting for a wide range of events from board meetings and presentations, to training sessions and briefings. It can also be set up as private dining room for up to 20 guests.
