AMRE and SACEA, in association with IIR, have developed a one-day conference to discuss the key hazards, associated risks and strategies for improving safety when handling tyres and rims. The Conference will take place on the 3rd of October 2012 at The Wanderers Club in Illovo, Johannesburg.
The theme of the Tyres & Rims Conference is: “Ensuring the safe handling and maintenance of industrial tyres and rims to prevent accidents and fatalities”.
Tyres, rims and wheel assemblies are safety-critical items that must be maintained and used correctly to achieve acceptable levels of risk. Inadequate tyre and rim maintenance carries considerable risk of personal injury and death, as has been confirmed through several tyre and rim-related fatalities in recent years.
